MANTRAS
Mantras
Infinite Spirit, give me wisdom to make the most of my opportunities.

I am always under direct inspiration. I know just what to do and give instant obedience to my intuitive leads.

My angel of destiny goes before me, keeping me in the Way.

I am surrounded by the White Light of the Christ within, through which nothing negative can penetrate.

I am surrounded by the White Light of the Buddha within, through which nothing negative can penetrate.

I walk the Light and my fear giants dwindle into nothingness. There is nothing to oppose my good.

I let go of everything not divinely designed for me, and the perfect plan of my life now comes to pass.

I follow the magic path of intuition and find myself in my Promised Land, under grace.

My mind, body and affairs are now molded according to the Divine pattern within.

God is the only power and the power is within me. There is one plan, God's plan, and that plan now comes to pass.

I give thanks that I now bring forth from the Universal Substance everything that satisfies all the righteous desires of my heart.

All doors now open for happy surprises and the Divine Plan of my life is speeded up under grace.

I live in the wonderful now, birthless and deathless: I am one with The One!

I am: Eternal joy. Eternal youth. Eternal wealth. Eternal health. Eternal love. Eternal life.

I am a Spiritual Being - my body is perfect, made in His likeness and image. The Light of the (Christ) (Buddha) now stream through every cell. I give thanks for my radiant health.

I am nourished by the Spirit within. Every cell in my body is filled with light. I give thanks for radiant health and endless happiness.

The light of the (Christ) (Buddha) now floods my consciousness dissolving all negative thoughts and fears.

I love everyone and everyone loves me.

I give thanks for my radiant health and happiness.

Nothing can hinder, nothing can delay the manifestation of the Divine Plan of my life.

The Light of Lights streams on my pathway, revealing the Open Road of Fulfillment! I am poised and powerful, my greatest expectations are realized in a miraculous way. Florence Scovel Shinn, taken from Your Word is Your Wand

Chanting Defeats Death

By the grace of the Lord, if a devotee, at the time of death, can simply chant His holy names -- Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare/ Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare -- simply by chanting this maha-mantra, he immediately surpasses the great ocean of the material sky and enters the spiritual sky. He never has to come back for repetition of birth and death. Simply by chanting the holy name of the Lord, one can surpass the ocean of death.

DAILY SUTRAS

GATE GATE PARA GATE PARA SAM GATE BODHI SVAHA: "Gone, Gone, Gone to the other shore; landed at the other shore. O Bodhi (Enlightenment Mind) Svaha (Hail)!"

The Zen Studies Society, taken from Daily Sutras For Chanting and Recitation

NAMU DAI BOSA is a mantra. But unlike most other mantras that have meaning only in the context of the repetition of their sounds, the words of NAMU DAI BOSA carry special significance.

NAMU, an expression of salutation, is best rendered into English as: adoration to, be united with, or having devotion for.

DAI existentially means large or great. From the ordinary point of view we consider the sun large and great, a particle of dust small and inconsequential. This is true, but not completely true. As the Lankavatara Sutra says:

Things are not what they seem
Nor are they otherwise.

DAI essentially means Absolute. From the enlightened point of view, all phenomena existing in this universe - the sun, planets, mountains and rivers, trash and dirt, man and animal - have absolute nature of their own. Likewise, greed, anger, and delusion are as absolute as compassion and wisdom.

Only when we understand the reality of these two aspects are we able to realize the true nature of the universe which is none other than the true nature of our very being. It is this very being which is called BOSA, from Bodhisattva in Sanskrit. Literally, bodhi means enlightened and sattva means being.

In effect, NAMU DAI BOSA is both a declaration of the absolute Truth of the nature of the universe, as well as a way of concentration which leads us to the great understanding of this Truth.
